- Fabric Designed by Brandon Mably & Kaffe Fassett
I spent much of the past week cutting gorgeous fabric for the Caddies in two upcoming Designer Spotlights in my Etsy Shop. Kaffe Fassett’s creations explode with the “glorious color” that has made him such a treasured and versatile artist.
Brandon Mably manages Kaffe Fassett Studio in London and is a well-known and admired knitwear designer. Late last year, Westminster Fibers introduced Brandon’s colorful designs in a vibrant fabric collection including Casbah, Jazz, Waves, and the endearing Fishlips.
The photo above shows some of their fabric, cut and waiting to become KOALA Caddies. A wonderful week of sewing awaits me. ~ All is well ~ Mary

Today is the first day of the rest of my BLOG! Hello and welcome. The website is now full of information about my KOALA Caddie Yarn Craft Apron. I think you can see from the site and from my new Etsy.com shop that I have been very busy during the last year and a half. To those around me, I am known as a woman who can make a short story long. If the story is long to begin with, it could take forever. So I’m not going to do that today. In the future, as I post to this online journal, you will come to know me and my story and how everyday life is flowing here in KOALA Caddie land. For today, I’ll just send my deepest appreciation to those who have helped me to reach this first official entry on my blog. ~ All is well ~ Mary

The KOALA Caddie shop at Etsy.com will be open for business on March 9, 2009!
I will be adding a mailing list soon, to keep you up to date about the latest additions at koalacaddie.etsy.com.

Welcome to the new website!
I will be blogging about customer reviews and where the Caddies can be seen in person. I am located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. I will be showing the Caddies in local yarn shops, knitting get-togethers and national craft shows. Let the fun begin!
Happy Stitching, Mary Shooshan

Mary,
The Caddies are beautiful! It’s true that the fabrics are rich and soft; it’s hard to choose which one is most beautiful. I gave one as a Christmas present to a serious knitter, and she loved it right away and has been putting it to vigorous use since. Congratulations on a great design!
